DIY Office Accessories

Hello all! I've been working hard to get my office put together and wanted to share an easy DIY to add some flare to your desk. Today we are painting ceramic bowls to store our paper clips and thumb tacks. Here's what you will need.

SUPPLIES
Ceramic bowls- I got mine from target
Ceramic paint
Paint brush

Paint the outside or inside of your bowls. Paint a coat and let dry about 30 minutes before applying the next coat, I did 4 coats total.

I've read that you need to let the painted ceramic dry 48 hours and then bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees. I did this, but I didn't see a difference in aesthetic or feel, so I'm not sure if it is truly necessary.

Now you have super cute bowls to store your office supplies.

DIY: Glitter Binders

Ready to add some sparkle to your life? We have an easy DIY that will add some glitz to your home office. Let's get started!

SUPPLIES
2 cardboard binders (Wal-Mart)
1 sheet of glitter paper or glitter stickers
glitter duck tape
adhesive machine
ruler
pencil
circle punch

If you are using glitter paper and a punch you will need to cut out about 18 circles, depending on how spaced out and how big you want the circles.

Once you have the circles cut you will need to use your sticker machine to add adhesive to the back.

Once you have your stickers lay them out on your binder to make sure you have your spacing correct. Just lightly lay them on the cardboard without pressing.

Once you have your spacing correct press them down with firm pressure. Using the duck tape is much easier since it's already sticky. just lay it out like you did the circles and once your spacing is correct press down firmly. Now you have two beautiful binders!

Coffee Mug Love

I love coffee mugs. My husband says I have a coffee mug addiction. I walk in to a store and walk out with a mug. I wanted to take my love for mugs and turn it into a hobby so I decided to start making and selling them on Etsy. Here are some I've been working on. I would love feedback and suggestions for new ideas!

WEDDING MUGS
Even after 4 years of marriage I still get excited about custom items with my last name or wedding date on them. These wedding coffee mugs are a great self purchase or would make for a great wedding gift.

I've seen a lot of the Mr. and Mrs. & His and Hers, but not much of Wifey and Hubby. I love these!

INSPIRATIONAL MUGS

Every now and then, more so than not, we need a little inspiration. Check out these inspirational coffee mugs.

I would love to hear your thoughts. What are you looking for in a mug?

Washi Tape Dividers

I finally found the planner I've been looking for my whole life! All I've ever wanted is a place to write my meals and my grocery list for each week. When I found this one I knew it was a keeper, the only thing it didn't have were tab dividers for each month. So, I made my own.

THE PLANNER

GROCERY HOT SPOT

NO TAB DIVIDERS

THE PROJECT
You will need cardboard, washi tape, a paper cutter or scissors, and some glue.

Cut your cardboard to the size you want your dividers to be. Mine were about 1.5".

You should have 12 tiny pieces.

Wrap your divider with the washi tape.

When your done wrapping you will have a colorful collection of tabs.

Finally, glue each tab to each month.

I love the cute patterns washi tape comes in. You will have way cuter tabs than what your planner would have come with.

Mason Jar Storage

I've been getting organized this week. I made a big decision this week to ditch the boxes! One, they were taking up unnecessary space and two they were an eye sore. I had several mason jars stored and decided they would make perfect storage pieces for items like beans, chocolate chips, toothpicks, tea bags, baking powder, corn starch, sweetener packets etc.

The first step was to transfer all the goods into the mason jars, that was simple. Next, I used a piece of card stock craft paper to make some labels. I typed up the labels on my computer, printed them out and used a circle cutter to cut 2" circles.

The final step was to attach the labels to the lids. For this I used glue dots, they will be easy to detach when I need to swap out the contents. Here is the final product!

Switching from the boxes to the mason jars freed up a ton of space in my pantry and they are super cute.  Check the items in your pantry and see if they are mason jar worthy.
